Making Dinner

These were some of the ingredients from last nights dinner. I should have concentrated on making dinner OR drawing, since colored pencil isnt my best medium.
I was planning on it being my first drop for [link] but I dont really think it's nice enough to give away..I screwed up way too many parts. ( especially the knife blade and the back of the cutting board..and the...composition!)
But darn it if I didnt learn a thing or two about working with colored pencil ( and about drawing on small paper)....and wow..I really like Prismacolor pencils ALOT...so maybe the next drawing will be ok.
I want to be comfortable with them because I am going to take them with me when I go to Utah in a couple of months...trying to take painting supplies is just impracticle.
So, anyway...part of my dinner in progress.
Colored Pencil on 8.5x5.5 sketchbook paper..erm...Prismacolor and Strathmore, if knowing that kind of thing turns you on.

The photo doesn't do justice to the color ...not even close. I do think the way I used color was nice in this..or could have been if I had realized how to explain the color and lighting with the pencils. Also..the tomato doesn't look like that on top in the physical drawing.
ok..I'm obsessing again.
